I am very happy with my system and this approach to assembling it. By going for used and legacy components I was able to assemble a very powerful system for thousands less than a comparable new system would have cost. While my system is technically a legacy system, with this CPU it's a BEAST! The additional cores and speed give it the juice to run very resource-hungry plug-in modules with hardly a hiccup. I subsequently did a CPU upgrade to bring it to a 6 Core 3.6 GHZ machine with 32 Gig RAM. I bought this computer to be the platform for my main Pro Tools system, an HD3 Accel system.
